Confusions by Alan Ayckbourn

Out first production way back in 2011… It seems so long ago

The play is a collection of five short pieces, each is a tight work of comedy that is beautifully written. Mother Figure sees a woman struggling with children, both hers and the more grown up variety! Drinking Companion follows her husband as he misguidedly attempts to chat up girls when away on business. Between Mouthfuls shows us stolen snatches of two seemingly unconnected relationships, we can only hear what the waiter can hear… Gosforth’s Fete is a farcical tour de force of pregnant girls and vicars. Finally A Talk in the Park is a beautifully reflective piece that ends the night on a bittersweet note.
